Sqad, I've been feeling dizzy on and off for two months. I've had blood pressure checks, eyes checked and lots of blood works which all come back normal. Someone suggested it might be labryinthitis. When I looked up symptoms, it fits. I was reading some anti histamines can help, also with sleep, which would be good, as I'm laying awake all night. Would they be ok to take with Bisoprolol?

Ménière disease maybe? Just a thought, don’t know if the symptoms fit completely but might be worth a look.

i have vertigo, dizzyness, especially when turning over in bed, the room goes round and round, if that fits yours too, consider that very little can be done. I found that i have balance issues, by going to see ear, nose and throat hospital, they determined i had vertigo.

There is also BPPV...Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo...for which there are various treatments including exercises that can be done at home.
I had some done by an audiologist many years ago, and they helped quite a bit.

First of all, yes, you can take anti histamines with Bisoprolol.
No, it doesn't sound like Meniere's or labyrinthits.
So what is it?
From what you say, it sounds like BPPV which is no big deal.
Google it and come back to me if you need clarification.

Probably BPPV. I'd not say cured instantly...but huge improvement.

I've just looked up bppv. My dizziness can last a good part of the day. Some days not as bad. At the moment, having bad episode. Ears are ringing. Some times when out walking, I can suddenly veer to one side, like I'm drunk! :-)
Can't talk to a doctor for 3 weeks yet alone see one! Thanks for all you replies.

Patsy........that description is completely different from your original post plus the ringing in the ears which you have only just mentioned.

I apologise for all the posters who suggested Menieres ,as it now looks the likeliest diagnosis.

Yes! I've felt 'drunk'...and that's how I've described it to people.
Now, I may just have a sensation of being a bit off. But attacks were bad years ago...I was afraid of how I'd feel when I put my head down to sleep, or when I woke up.

Patsy, from what you describe, it does sound like Menieres Disease and you should get into contact with you GP as you may need an MRI scan. Not urgent, just a routine appt.
In the meantime try the antihistamine that you seem to have to hand.

Thank you, sqad. I've been told I can't speak to my doctor for 3 weeks, as they're busy with other phone consultations., with patients. I will take anti histamines in the meantime. :-)
