Long Term Daily Vomiting
11 Answers
This is my poor wife who has had an ulcer for many years -only taking omeprazole for this.
Over the last one and half to two years the vomiting has got worse with literally 1 to 3 minutes after eating it all comes back. Her GP seems to think it’s due to stress. I tend to disagree with that convenient diagnosis.
We have asked for a private treatment referral around a month ago and nothing.
Her last two occasions of contacting this Health Centre both over 100 redials each which is just ridiculous. All appointments are telephone only.
My wife is 63yrs old and also had a serious fall just a few days ago breaking the radius & ulna
which required surgery fitting a plate with wires also…. In all she has lost 7 stones in two years which fortunately she could afford to lose. Vomiting even occurs with minuscule snacks within minutes. GP also thinks a hernia exists.
I apologise that this is so long winded, but I’m convinced she is undernourished. Also recently diagnosed with osteopenia a week prior to her fall
Any suggestions would be gratefully received.

Mr.Sam, many many moons ago had similar symptoms for years and finally we found out that's what he had. One week of intense antibiotics and all gone. It maybe the cause of her ulcer too. You can find out with a simple test. Poor thing, sounds like she's suffering too much. Mr.Sam also lost a lot of weight.
samuraisan,
Thank you and all ABrs for your contribution and help.
My wife was treated for helicobacter a few years ago which had a satisfactory conclusion. As that is a recurring condition- it may well be the cause of the current problem.
Yesterday she again called the Health Centre and amazingly got through on the first and only call! Later a practice GP returned her call and was promised a full review of meds and symptoms and potential treatment AFTER the current trauma has healed. However, I do not see why the GP could not enquire about appointment status request for an endoscopy, which supposedly has already been requested by the Centre. My wife is scheduled to return to the Hospital on this coming Thursday to have the plaster cast removed and arm x-rayed and hopefully re-plastered if things are as they expect. Then it will be a waiting game.
I will update here in about six weeks. Again thank you ABrs for providing some comfort and potential optimism.
