Does This Weather Affect Your Health?
43 Answers
Every year that passes I seem to become more intolerant to hot weather.
All week I have felt like a wet lettuce, no energy and really really tired.
Some days I can't even be bothered to eat although I am drinking plenty.
Does the weather affect you or do you love it?

I've used it occasionally when on holiday. I wake with a mouth and throat like blotting paper and a headache - though copious amounts of booze the previous evening is usually a large contributor to that! :-)
I've had numerous meals out spoiled by being seated underneath an a/c outlet. I go out in short shirtsleeve order because it's warm and end up sitting in a fridge. It occasionally gets warm in this country. Just open a door or window.
Night time - no bother. A cool shower then bed without completely drying off, a window open if it's really hot, and off to sleep. Rarely wake up in the night, never have to get up to go to the loo unless I've had a few beers the evening before, nice cup of tea in bed and ready for the next warm day.

The heat makes me more breathless but my main problem comes if the weather breaks down with thunderstorms, then I get dreadful headaches, seems to be linked to a sudden drop in pressure. It's certainly when the barometer falls suddenly.
I have to be a bit careful as I am quite fair skinned although I haven't had sunburn for years.

I do not like hot weather, because it makes me feel sweaty and uncomfortable. Warm weather is OK, hot weather is not OK, but I have noticed an improvement in my aching knees since the hot weather arrived. My knees used to ache with every step that I took, but, since the hot weather arrived, the aches have gone. Could that be due to the high temperatures?
I was supposed booked for a couple of days work this week for a long-standing customer. Due to unexpected events, the job has been delayed and i hope to get it out of the way either next week or the week after. As a sufferer of very bad secondary hyperhidrosis, i was quite relieved, to be totally honest. I normally go through a couple of work shirts per day, but in this present heatwave, i would have probably have had to change my t-shirt a few more times.
Yes the very hot weather affects me now I’m getting older. Don’t go out unless it’s unavoidable and do very little all day except sit in front of a fan. However, today is lovely and cool here and I feel back to normal. Unfortunately, it doesn’t affect my appetite as losing some weight would be a bonus.
Irish, very white skin, red hair and one sun caused BCC behind me. You'd think I'd be suffering but I'm not.
In fact the last few days I've had more energy than I'd had for a good while and my sleep's not suffering from the heat even in a dormer...mind you they're a daft idea.
In the village today you could see folk really struggling just going from shop to shop and Dave's tucking himself away with his air con.
I don't know why I'm not being affected. Dave keeps looking sideways at me as if I'm not normal...... he could be right of course.... :-)
Take care, Barsel and others suffering...x
