I need some medical advice.

I have been on Praidel for 20 years. Over the last five years or so my Creatinine levels have steadily increased.

In March 2020 I was referred to a Neurologist due to me developing muscle weakness and trembling in my arms and legs. I got sent for MRI last March but it showed nothing that could explain my problems. Then came lockdown. I have a follow-up telephone appointment with the Neurologist at the beginning of September.

My Psychiatrist phoned me on Monday and he has told me to stop taking the medication.

Today I had an appointment at the doctor's surgery to get more blood taken - immunoglobin was mentioned.

Is it unreasonable to think that Priadel could cause these problems?
I must admit that stopping the tablets is a bit frightening. ☺

////Is it unreasonable to think that Priadel could cause these problems?////

Totally unreasonable as in my opinion your neurological symptoms are due solely to your medication.

I also suffer from cognitive disfunction - I get confused easily.

your un-reasonable and my un-reasonable - does this end up as a reasonable or an un-reasonable.

I hope you are well.
Wolf, Sqad's reply has confused me, too.

Are the symptoms caused by the priadel (in your opinion)
you seem to be saying opposite things in your post
i looked online and it seems they have discontinued it anyway susan so you might not have a choice

Bednobs - I think that medical students should be forced to take some of the dodgy drugs that they prescribe.

I will go and have a look to see if there is an alternative. I'm just being nosey.
/////as in my opinion your neurological symptoms are due solely to your medication./////

I can understand your confusion BUT surely my comment makes it abundantly clear.
Clearly WOLF didn't think it was clear and having read it three times, I don't think it's clear.

Thanks, Doc/Mr Sqad

My own GP is on holiday - I will speak to him next week.

Thank you
wolf asked if it's unreasonable to think her symptoms are due to the meds. You say "yes, unreasonable to think that" then go on to contradict that by saying the symptoms ARE due to the meds
Not abundantly clear to me, Sqad.
Bednobs, Priadel hasn't been withdrawn or discontinued - the manufacturers threatened it but came to a new pricing agreement.
