My eldest daughter has tested positive for Covid yesterday.
My middle daughter was with her sister most of Sunday and I spent about 4 hours with my middle daughter yesterday.
Today, middle daughter was told one of her pupils has tested positive so she has had to go and be tested.
If she tests positive too, should I go and be tested or do you wait to see if you have symptoms?

Just get a test done to inform you so you can isolate or put your mind at rest. You can get them from the chemist or if middle daughter is a teacher she'll have access to loads of lateral flow test's and probably as plenty at home
You might have it but not have symptoms and could infect others so its best to get tested. Theres lot's of dropin centres if you'd rather have someone else test you.
You can get lateral flow tests sent to you for free. Google it.

Middle daughter does the lateral tests regularly but she had to go for a PCR test.
The first and only time I sent for a test, it took a week to get here!
I haven't even opened it.
Would it be ok to use that one?
Yes, do the lateral flow test and go from there.

Mamya I don't think the one I have is a lateral flow test, it's one you have to post.
I'll do it tomorrow then go and post it.
I ordered using the link above and a pack came in a couple of days.

Just read that and it seems you use the lateral tests if you don't have symptoms, which I don't, so I'll send for those.
Thanks everyone.
No. Don't get a test. This is now tantamount to alarmism. All the Covid testing stations should be dismantled. They serve no purpose.
Ignore the idiot.
You shouldn't answer Barsel like that Hopkirk. T'aint nice! :o)
I'm not being alarmist, Barsel asked a question and I replied politely.
I do a lateral flow test every week,we get them from work,if i had been in contact with someone whos positive i would go straight to the testing site in town.
No don't get a test, what's the point? Keep it quiet and just get on with your lives like we should all be doing.
TEST ..NOW !! as one who has been very poorly twice with Covid..you really don't want to take risks
I got covid recently. If it wasn't for testing, I would have been out there spreading it.
hope you are feeling better Hoppy xx
I am now, but it took a surprisingly long time.
yup I was floored for 3 weeks each time..and the long covid is still with more nearly 18 months one..further aggravated now by the recent spell...
