For me it has to be that I get to see my family. As they live in another country I only see them in the summer and at Christmas. Christmas for me equals lovely family time. I also love most things about xmas. The carols, the lights, the fact that people tend to be more smiley and friendly and the snow. There aren't many things that I dislike apart from the fact that I lost my dad to cancer 18 months ago and although he's always at the back of my mind, xmas is especially hard. But the family pulls together and make every effort to enjoy ourselves as that's what dad would've wanted
Believe it or not lol It's the giving of presents rather than geting them, I honestly dont care if I dont get stuff, especially getting my son something he really wants and isn't expecting. When I was little my favourite thing was waking up, grabbing my stocking and running through to my mums bed (it was always just the 2 of us when I was growing up) and snuggling under the covers with her, taking the things out one by one :-)
The thing I hate about it though is that I worry to much about affording stuff, and it kind of ruins it for me, my son doesnt even seem to care, but I feel guilty that I cant get him as much as his friends, because I'm a student and single parent :-(
Favourite... like happy_face it's going to see mym family which I don't get to do too often. My least favourite thing is that because I work in retail, I only get to do it for 2 or 3 days rather than a week. But it makes me treasure that time!
favourite thing...all of it. Unfavourite thing...I live in hampshire UK and we get warm wet muddy christmasses

best thing Kings college carol service Christmas Eve on the Radio, and the prayer for all those on the far distance shore. that will be the beggining and end of christmas for me. I use to work most christmasses don't forget that for many christmas is a sad time with no family.

worst thing being born on Christmas day its not at all good or lucky.

Favourite - happy families for one day, loads of turkey, bread sauce and roasties.

Least favourite - as much as you hope this year will recapture the atmosphere and feelings you had when you were younger, it doesn't! Oh and sprouts too!!!

favourite thing - Buying presents for people, and knowing they will love what they have got, the decorations, and my little boys face when i put the lights on, snuggling up in a cosy house of chritmas eve, having the best fun with my family

Worst thing - selfish shoppers who barge, fight, shout and argue over the latest 'must have' erm, thats it!!

My biggest joy is seeing the big grins on my daughters' faces as they open their presents and watching them grow wider and wider until they look painful. The worst moment is Santa's credit card bill at the end of the month.
However, my younger daughter stopped believing in Father Christmas this year and I'm wondering if I will ever have Father Christmas bills again. :-) Dream on Drusilla!!!

I love all of Christmas, carols Christmas trees, decorations family, fun, and my daughter's birthday two days before Christmas day,the wonder of it all for all sorts of reasons.

Least favourite part is the frenetic shopping with selfish shoppers pushing in etc. and yes woofgang, sometimes the soggy weather!

By the way,a very happy Christmas and New Year to all AB users.

my favourite is the grandsons face when he gets his presents...and the least favourite is the same as the others xmas shopping..ques..and crowds i like space around me..
favourite - good times with my family and friends
least favourite- Never knowing what to get anyone but deperately wanting to get them something they'll love and the fact that it gets more disappointing and more expensive every year!

Can't wait to have kids so I can make it exciting for them! : )

Favorite/s = mince pies with loads of brandy butter ! Getting together with all the family, seeing even the most usually miserable folks smile for a change !

Least Favorite/s = stupid "jazzed up" christmas tunes in the shops and all the zombies pushing and shoving to get to the cash registers

favorite thing. seeing my family!

least favorite thing. the fact that everyone else seems to hate it and has a problem with me being excited

Favourite - From the 1st December til the 24th....I love going out at night in the cold with all the lights twinkling away...coming home to the christmas tree and an open fire! Playing carols round the town on Christmas Eve, while everyone is in the Christmassy mood...

Least Favourite - Having to think of presents (I like the giving part, but am useless at thinking of what to get...!), not liking Mince Pies or Christmas Pudding, Christmas Day itself being abit of a let down, and like happy_face, not having Dad around to share it with...

a close second to my son's face on Christmas morning, when I've hidden the best till last. is the Christingle Service. All the children holding a candle full of hope, expectation and innocence. Makes me cry every year

Love - Spending time with my family

Hate - The nonsense of pressies and mucking about with Chrimbo dinner - Nicer just to make the most of your time together...

favourite is watching the kids faces as they open there presents this year is my youngests first xmas so it feels really special, worst is the finding room to put everything and having a messy house for a few weeks.
I love all of it. Daft Christmas music, over the top decorations, everyone making a fool of themselves. I love that I usually get to see my family; I love buying and giving presents, even if I can't get much for people.

Right now, I'm sitting in my cosy lounge with my huge tree behind me and twinkling lights round my desk, listening to cheesy Christmas music and eating a candy cane - life is truely great right now.

Worst bit - I'll sound like a do-gooder, but it's true - I get very upset when I think about everyone not doing so well. I always think I should help more, volunteer at a shelter or something, but I never do. I just sit here feeling guilty that I have so much and others have so little.

I also hate that my Dad won't be home for Christmas this year. And it would have been my beloved Grandad's birthday on Christmas Eve, so that day is always a little hard.

Favourite - Christmas carols and snuggling on the sofa with my son watching movies;

Least favourite - all the commercialism. I hate how the build up to Christmas starts so early in about September/October. Keep Christmas in December, I say!!
