nose piercing - stud or ring

i am getting my nose pierced next summer, and i was wondering which would be better: a stud or a ring. i read somewhere that a ring is cleaner...is this true? i am a girl, 17, and quite a versitile wardrobe, so i dont know if a small inconspicuous stud would be best until i can change it. any views?

when i first had mine done i only kept in the stud for 24 hrs then changed to a ring, i much prefered it to the stud and in fact i never wore a stud in it again, its down to preference, you can change it when you want, so there are no restrictions

be careful with thosde small inconspicuous studs, they can look like a spot or a blob of snot!!
