Nebulisers

I have an asthmatic cough, and have three inhalers,including the blue one. All of a sudden there have been various nebulisers advertised on FB, and I’m wondering if one really would clear the mucus. Has anyone used one and is it recommended?

I have a nebuliser provided by the NHS.The difference is that the medicine is administered in droplets of liquid rather than a powder so it is more efficient in getting to the lungs. A good nebuliser does not come cheap, neither do the capsules they use ( unless you can get your GP to prescribe them.Having said all that I would recomend one if your condition is particularly bad.

Speak to your GP or asthma nurse before buying a nebuliser.

Could you post a link to one you have seen advertised - I am very interested to see it.

Sometimes these devices that claim to clear mucous are called nebulisers but they aren't. I have seen them advertised on FB
