I went to the doctors today because I thought I have IBS (Irritable Bowl Syndrome). The doctor gave me a rectal exam and put their finger (with rubber gloves) up by rectum to do a general rectal examination with lube. Is there anyway I could get HIV or any other disease or condition from this?

HIV is transmitted by exchange of bodily fluids so no unless the doctor was positive, somehow cut his finger and the glove before examining you and did not stop the bleeding and change the glove before examining you

Morning Sheddy, LOL.
a nurse tried to take my bloods in my last surgery and she was after licking her fingers after dipping her fingers into the corners of a pack of Tayto crisps. Never washed her hands or anything. Couldn't do the blood test cos maybe the salt was in the way. Doctor ended up doing it.
Not being funny Samuel - just reading your post again. Irritable bowl - was it a bowl of porridge LOL
