I suffer from the above and last night was a really bad night, can't seem to "let go".

I know there are a few Abers who suffer as well but me, I get pretty miserable, with lack of sleep - how do the rest of you cope like right now I'm exhausted but have to go out soon.

I find that if I have a bad night then I sleep a bit better the next night. I try not to let it worry me too much or overthink it

Odd but it seems to work as you have to shut your eyes
Are you having enough vit D? Surprising how much difference that can make. Otherwise, unless you are due to drive an HGV at work... I would just go with it and catch up if needed. Reading always works for me.

I too read till I’m nodding off..but as soon as I put the light out I immediately become wide awake again!
I’ve stopped worrying about it, just go with the flow and know that at some point I’ll have a decent nights sleep.
I sometimes (if I can’t get off the sleep after about an hour) get up and wander round the house, look out of the window, get really cold (all in the nude) then get back in bed, snuggle down and usually go to sleep fairly quickly.
^yes, stop worrying about it - it's not worth losing sleep over!
I have a kindle paper white. Lights off, snuggle down and read. My eyes soon close.

It took me a while but it’s great for reading in the dark at bedtime. I still read real books too.

If only i thought it was prescription only
There many mindfulness or help to sleep apps or videos on youtube you can access on a pc or smartphone. I quite often listen to audio books on Audible at night. You can set a timer so you don't miss too much if you drift off while it is on.
