Involuntary Twitches/Spasms

For about 10 weeks now I’ve been experiencing twitches/spasms in my legs, hands and fingers, sometimes arms. It usually happens when I’m sitting, lying down, or if my hands etc aren’t really doing anything.

At first I thought it would pass but alas no and it’s starting to get on my nerves.

The only thing that has really changed for me is my Amitrypteline was increased although the last week or so I’ve been weaning myself off it as it’s not helping with what I was given it for. My citalopram was changed to Sertraline but this was after the twitches started.

Is this something that needs to be addressed or will I be ok to just live with it?

Thank you Buenchico.
You are a diabetic.
The symptoms that you mention are often associated with poorly controlled diabetes.
If you diabetes is well controlled, then it could be due to many things all rare as I am sure are well highlighted in the link above.
Monitor the situation.

Thank you Sqad. My control is pretty decent at the moment, ok October was a bit of a write off, but as you say it could be many a thing. I’m going to try and limit my caffeine again see if that helps. But will keep an eye on it all
