Only thing I can think of is Oil of Cloves.
Oil of cloves as above - Get it from a chemist and dab a little onto the sore area.
Push half an aspirin down between your cheek and the tooth. Gives effective temporary relief.
oil of cloves as maggie01 and nickmo suggested is the best relief known on the planet.been there, got the T shirt. never heard of the asprin jobby Eels lol
i have just been through all this and now had the tooth out.the stuff i used which is BRILLIANT is called ORAJEL..but use very little on a cotton bud.and dab it around the area.hope this is of some help.its only a small tube but goes a long way..

keep rinising your mouth out with tepid salt water solution - it helps to kill infection. Also you can do the same with aspirin/paracetamol ( it you are asthamtic you will know which one to use) this will help kill the infection and some of the pain. Solpahdine Max is good as a painkiller - both anti inflamatory and pain killer. I know this works as when I have dental problems they are big!!! hope you feel better soon and this helps

I found that taking avegimin tablet for the pain, and with a piece of cotton wool, dabbed it with ANBESOL.
