My mum used to suffer with really bad migranes. She would have a least one a week and they could last for days. She had an allergy test done and found out that she was mildly intolerant (don't think that's how it's spelt but nevermind :) ) to wheat, bread in particular. She cut it out of her diet for about 6 months and the migranes all but stopped (apart from stress related!). After 6 months she gradually re-introduced some breads but she doesn't eat as much as she did and her migranes are nearly non-existant now.
Just a suggestion - perhaps ask you're doctor for an allergy test. Hope this helps

Hi,
just a thought, for years I had been having headache and I spent my time going from the doctor to the optician. The doctor told me to get my eyes checked and the optician told me to go to the doctors. Things got so desperate that my doctor sent me to see a neurologist. Well after this performance for a year or so I went to a fourth optician and was given a diagnosis of a muscle imbalance in my eyes and in fact I did need glasses. The strain of trying to correct my vision was in fact the cause of my headaches. Since i have been wearing glasses my headaches are nearly non existent.
If you have been to the same optician a few times, it maybe worth trying a different one, to get a different point of view. The first couple of opticians never did the test to check for a muscle imbalance. Good luck
