Hi! I’m in a wheelchair all day and rely on Tena lady incontinence pull up pants or equivalent. They work quite well apart from when I need to adjust my position. Whatever has been absorbed is released and whereas I might have been dry I’m now wet, including clothing. Yet the advertising claims these pants will retain the flow and wick it away and keep you dry. How can I prevent this problem as I have long waits between my carer’s visits. Thanks.

Have you been seen by a continence nurse? If not, ask your GP to refer you and they can give you some advice

Give this organisation a ring, they know everything there is to know about your problem and the solutions. They are open tomorrow

Through experience I have found that it is better to use a heavy duty Tena pad, (and they are also longer), with my own pants rather than Tena brand pants. I have also been known to place a terry tea towel between my pants and the outer layer of clothing when sitting. Hope this helps because it cannot be pleasant sitting for long periods being so uncomfortable.

Thanks for the advice. It just annoys me that the products don’t live up to the advertising and wondered if it was just me who was finding this problem.
I feel for you. Those old adverts for sanitary protection used to amuse my wife and daughters showing women doing gymnastics in white leotards, skiing and swimming.
Hope you get the advice you need to be comfortable.
