Night Owls

I have just realised that being a night owl means my circadian rhythm might be the reason that I prefer night to day because I have always been tired during the day and had more energy from evenings through to early morning. My mental abilities too are much sharper at night. My son is the same, and always had been.

I avoid morning appointments because they really are a struggle. It can be a real problem.I also get a better quality of sleep during the day. I actually love darkness too and find it comforting.

Fortunately my husband doesn't need lot of sleep and we are often up and about when others have been tucked up for hours.


Are their any other ABers who are like this?

Now I have my own bathroom and loo upstairs and he has to go downstairs for c his ablutions. Bliss!

Well there is that, MissT. Mind you, most of my childhood was in an Irish cottage with only the field below to go in so I'm now an expert in peeing outdoors safely...well except for the time Granny's goat got loose and leapt over the hedge to join me.

This thread has wandered into a memory of my first very house proud mother in law.
When a visiting male asked to use the toilet she'd say....Do, but if you don't sit down please make sure you don't dribble on the floor. Lord, it was embarrassing. :-(

Reminds me of my mum staying in a mountain lodge in Canada. Loo at a distance from lodge and her fears of bea
rs breaking in in the middle of the night!

My loo is for me only or my female relations if they stay!

Been there and done that, MissT. It's a valid fear. The things we had to do or not do to avoid being attacked by bears took the shine off our adventures somewhat.

I got locked out of my car ( in my youth ) stark naked, all because I needed a pee !

Welllll, I parked up late one night at one of the local beauty spots which was popular with courting ( good word that ) couples. And after some fun on the back seat I needed a pee, there where quite a few shrubs / bushes around the car so I got out and went behind a bush. However my girlfriend thought it would be funny if she locked both the doors on my car ( two door car, Ford Capri ). Oh how she laughed, I wasn't though.

Oh I like your girlfriend, Tony...girl after my own heart. I did something similar to the late MrG. How the neighbours laughed but that's another story.
