So I wanted to participate in school more and make more friends by deciding to tryout for a sport. The tryouts are in less than 24 hours and I’m extremely nervous. I’m even contemplating whether or not I should just stay home or go to tryouts.
The sport I am trying out for is basketball. I am an ideal height, but I’m not very experienced with the sport.
I also have scars/marks on my legs, and if I make it on the team, I don’t want those to show! What should I do!? Any advice?
Go for the tryout, it won't help your self esteem if you back out and you will regret it. It's not easy but the scars don't matter in the scheme of things, you may have to explain them to the curious but it will get you talking to people. Good luck.
