Lump On Foot
30 Answers
On my right foot, I have a lump. It is on the top of my foot to the inner side. It is about an inch round. It is hard. I do have a bunion on that foot and it is about 1.5 inches up the foot from my bunion.
It doesn't hurt, (unless I really press it hard) it doesn't move but it is noticeable. If you imagine your big toe, going up towards the ankle, it is above the bone(s) linking to the big toe and about 2.5 inches to 3 inches from the point of my big toe but over that bone to the left hand side.
A bit like an elephant, it is not easy to describe. Should I be worried? Any ideas?
TIA

Had it for 3-4 years and it is very gradually getting bigger. It looks as if it has something white inside. Occasionally it will throb. Doc told me to go to the hospital and they would drain it but I had more important ailments at the time so never bothered.
Barmaid. Whatever you do don't bash it. There are lots of tiny bones in the top of the feet. I have lumps just as you describe on the top of both feet. They have been professionaĺly examined and my diagnosis described as soft tissue lumps caused by osteoarthritis. I've had them for years and I've never worn unsuitable shoes.

My lumps don't move about and don't hurt.

MissT - it looks exactly like yours but in a different position. I won't bash it (other than when I bash my foot generally in searching for furniture that my foot thinks I have lost - how the hell I manage to do that almost daily really surprises me).
I'm not going to worry, but the next time I have the misfortune to visit my GP I shall mention it.
