The answer is 17 or depending on the ratio of cotton on a spindle and how on or off the skipping was then the answer might be 001 on the binary scale (unless it was a lunar eclipse)

Surely its the same as the length of a piece of string? Plus if it doesent get light by morning it will be dark.
