I have managed to get a GP appointment, but not until 19th January.
I've had a painful jaw on one side, with accompanying ear ache, for a couple of weeks now. I'm having real trouble opening my mouth, I can't even get two fingers between my teeth. Also daily headaches, I seem to recall a few weeks ago that my jaw made a REALLY loud crack when I went to eat something. Gradually losing weight too because I just dread trying to eat. 16 lbs to date, any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Good advice by 237.....
Give it a couple of days and if no improvement then go privately.
I agree. But I am fortunate in having a doctor who at least will phone me if ì need him, and made arrangements with the hospital for me to go straight to the ICU ward in October. I wouldn't have been here now if he hadn't.
Well done Lofty, but the "N" in NHS stands for National, not just local.
