What does "section" mean?

if this is a serious question then I am sorry.
only if by brushing his teeth with his left hand, after being in a baby walker for nine months, while having two heart attacks through no sleep.
then , and only then , might it be ok xx

if this is a serious question then the serious answer is no. It takes (i think) at least two medical professionals and the police to section someone. There are varying degrees of sectioning but each one needs at least two doctors to agree (i know for a fact that gp's really don't like having to do it). One of ours gets really upset if he has to.
Hi, No it is not legal for your sister to section your dad! Your sister is able to ask his gp or out of hours gp, for a mental health act assessment. This is where your dad would be assessed by usually his gp, (if he is not available another section 12 doctor) a psychiatrist and a social worker. They all have to agree that your dad is either a danger to himself or other people. Hope this helps.
