For the last few weeks I have been having waves of pins and needles all down my left arm. Sometimes quite strong other times a bit lighter. Happens quite often, about 5-10 minutes apart. Also both thumbs have gone dead. Very annoying when trying to turn pages in the newspapers. I did look on line and it mentioned could be heart related.
Had to go o doctors to hand a specimen in so asked if I could see a doctor.
When I explained why she said can you come back at 5.15. Gosh that had me surprised. When I got there the doctor gave me a going over. Said I had a heart murmur. Gave me an appointment for Friday to have an ECG.
Has anyone else had anything like this before?
From you posting, this is not a big deal.
The heart murmur and pins and needles are almost certainly unrelated.
I agree with Lady CG that the pins and needles are nerve related probably due to arthritis in the spine.
The heart murmur will need investigating, but unlikely to be a big deal and you may at some time need an MRI scan of your neck.
Personally I've had enough of all this. I posted what I thought might be the case from the info given and knew that circulation/heart problems could cause similar signs especially down the left arm. I suggested that a doctor who examined her knew best. Caran did not ask for a possible diagnosis. I didn't give one. And then all this trouble broke out, which was totally uncalled for.
The last part of Carans OP was, "Has anyone else had anything like this before"And people told him of their experiences.
NO Medical advice was given. But looking at Sqad post this morning other people experiences all come together.
