I've never experienced such deep scaling as this (I was numbed up!). I have gaps in my teeth now where I hadn't before so I can use those interdental brushes in between to clean (my teeth were too close together). This was by the hygienist. I have to warm up water slightly to be able to drink it. Just wondered if it's normal.
If there are now gaps between your teeth and there weren't any before, it's not because your teeth have been filed away, it's because the natural gaps had become filled up with calculus or tartar or whatever it is. It's good that they have now been cleaned. I think the best thing is to try what elliemay1 recommended.
Best wishes. And try hard to use the brushes every night.

However the Colgate website states . . .
"If your teeth are sensitive three or four weeks after treatment or you have other concerns, contact your dentist for a follow-up visit."

I'd suggest following Elliemay1's advice about using Sensodyne Repair & Protect over the next few weeks and then, if the problem still persists, go back to your dentist.
