It's probably a combination of the two - but there is an aspect of learned behaviour there. I have always found women who are small with dark hair, big eyes and turned-up noses really attractive, and while aimlessly surfing one day, I came across a photo of Wendy Padbury who played one of the early ' assistants' in 'Doctor Who' and I simultaneously realised that she was my archetypal fanciable woman, and that I'd had a serious crush on her as a thirteen-year-old, so it may be that she became my 'type' model, and I never conciously recognised the fact, until I saw her photo.
