Temporary Bottom Dentures
Please be kind as this is a very hard thing for me to ask help about as its got me so upset but my sister has had a really bad time the last q5 years or so and health wise just seems to be one thing or another. Initially she had chemo for cancer which after quite a while she got the all clear thankfully. She smoked for years but she did not have a smoking related cancer but because of the smoking and the chemo her teeth were affected terribly. She had to have the last few top teeth out and has a denture and some of the bottom out and had partial denture. All ok until another bout of cancer, again chemo and thankfully again the all clear but now her remaining bottom teeth are very very loose, causing on off pain and making like unbearable. They need to come out but dentist says she wont get a bottom full denture for approx 2 months. You cant imagine how this has affected her, no hair, looks like a skeleton and now going to have no bottom teeth for ages, so absolutely no confidence at all. So both of us have seen these plastic type bottom teeth people use that go over existing teeth for a better look, problem is she wont have any teeth to cover so can anyone help that have maybe seem something for those with no bottom teeth that can just give her a boost if she needs to go out and give her a bit of confidence back. Would appreciate anything please as its been heartbreaking for me to ask.

They were so light and natural looking and so comfortable that I asked the implant dentist to do something to them so that I could have had them for good. They were brilliant. They can give her a good temporary denture. Good luck
Sorry should have said but i am sure she said he wont give her temporary bottom dentures as he cant do a mould off her existing bottom palette due to her teeth being very slack but i said if they are being pulled out anyway then if she has bit of anasthestic then if they come out because of the mould then if ok with her then it shouldnt matter. Thats why i asked about temporary ones but should of said the type you can just go out and buy yourself, some are put in hot water so make them soft and flexible so you can get a decent fit, these are ones we are looking for if anyone has bought.
Is this the sort of thing you mean?

If your sister is agreeable to publicity then a private dentist might consider doing 'a good deed' in light of her cancer and ongoing health problems in return for a story in the local press. Great advertising for the practice.
No harm making enquiries as to cost, though. It may be cheaper than you think.
