I am recovering from a mild dose of covid. When I'm finally clear are my house content also clear or does the house need fumigating (with what?).

How do you know you had Covid? If it was via a test, why are you testing yourself? What other infectious respiratory diseases (of which there are very many) did you test yourself for?

I think some people have been conditioned to behave in a certain way when COVID is mentioned. If that person is elderly, and/or vulnerable in another way which could result in serious illness, or has relatives/friends who might be affected, I can quite understand it.

It's true zac, I know some very vulnerable people who even now dread the winter, and no doubt will will be staying at home in case of covid/flu/ illness. We should respect their concerns and wishes .

It's  not OK to be sarcastic to a genuine question in the right section to someone who hasn't been on here for years and is obviously worried.  NJ was rude.

You have hit the nail on the head there anneasquith. As a carer of someone who is very vulnerable I would test myself and then proceed even more carefully if it show positive, trying to avoid contact.

However, I wouldn't go to any great lengths to deep clean the house afterwards as I'm sure the virus stays longer inside me than it does on furniture and light switches.
