Iliopsoas Pain
For nearly two months I've had really bad pain in my Iliopsoas (hip flexor muscle). I'm receiving treatment from a chiropractor who helped me a couple of years ago when I had lower back problems, and he is trying to cure it. The pain radiates down into my knee. The X-ray from the doctor said arthritis, which considering my age (83) isn't surprising, but it came on overnight. Has anyone else suffered from this? Any hints or help appreciated. I can only take paracetamol as other pain relief makes me feel so sick.

I haven't suffered from what you're describing but do have trochanter(sp)bursitis for which I've had a few steroid injections which really help. The pain from this does travel down my leg, sometimes as far as my ankle.
The other thing to bear in mind is that the NHS recommend you contact your GP for any pain which lasts longer than two weeks, and if it is bursitis then your GP can arrange steroid injections.
I think that's what I'd do, helly, but good luck with whatever you decide to do 🙂
