Not at all unexpectedly, but isn't it odd that having cried buckets over time at her long and progressive decline, I'm still crying now her suffering is over.

Lovely, funny, full of life, I shalL miss her and her humour.  When her doctors told her they'd given her a new vagina she said 'I don't know why they bothered.  I didn't use the old one!'

Got to love that girl.

Thank you for listening. X

Thanks so much everyone.  I've been thinking of her today - and it occurred to me.  I don't have one bad memory of her.  Not one.  An exceptional human being indeed.

Dear naomi,

I can't say more than others have already said. To lose one of my real friends would have the same effect on me. It seems to be that life is narrow, expands (somtimes becomes uncontrollable) and then narrows again to a very loyal, lasting circle.  To lose a close friend is a deep loss and I feel for you.

She will never be truly lost to you whilst you remember her, hope you understand.

Love,

Jourdain2 xx

So sorry to hear that

I'm so sorry for your loss, Naomi.  I lost a very dear friend a couple of years ago. She is the only friend I have lost. I'm still very sad but the funny memories help a lot.

Oh dear -  R I P

Sorry to hear of your sad loss Naomi. Perhaps she is at peace now with no more suffering.

Sorry for your loss, I've lost so many good friends too, but they still exist in may mind by way of fond & joyful memories.

I was thinking of her last night and something occurred to me.  I've  known her for a very long time - years and years - and I don't have one bad memory of her.  Not a moment when she was grumpy or moaning or miserable or nasty.  Nothing.  What a lovely way to be remembered.

Thanks all.  This is not something I often do but I kind of needed to yesterday.  Thank you for listening.

My very best friend is someone I've known since primary school. She lives 150 miles away from me, has a busy life, a large family, but we both know we're there for each other come what may.

Im so sorry to read this naomi, I don't know how I'd feel if something happened to my friend x

No idea how I managed to miss this but I did.

So sorry Naomi and I hope you start to feel  better soon and you will smile at the memories you shared.  x

I've only just seen this.  Sorry you have lost a friend, but heck what a lady!  The way you write about her speaks absolute volumes.

I hope (and believe) that in due course the sharp edges of your sadness will be smoothed by your extremely happy memories of her.
