My wonderful in-laws are two of the most intelligent, funniest, wonderful  people I know! When they moved a couple of months ago they were clearing out their loft when they came across a teddy bear - brand new &  still in packaging. Neither could remember who it had been bought for, or why it was up there. They were going to take it to a charity shop when one of them said oh let's just keep it. So, for a laugh, on moving day they put in back of car & put a seat belt on it!  (it's about 12 inches high). They sent us the pic and we laughed. But since then they have taken it EVERYWHERE! They went to a wedding a couple of weeks ago & stayed overnight in a hotel. Took teddy &  tucked him in the bed! When they go out for the day they take it in the car! Then yesterday they came round for coffee &  MIL said she's bought teddy a Xmas present - a jumper! MrSmow looked at me as if to say 'have they lost the plot!??'.

I keep laughing but do you think this is odd?? They are very busy people, never sit still, like I said highly intelligent. So not sure what this is all about unless they just think its hilarious. But MrSmow thinks they've gone mad lol.

Yes, they are odd.  They left the poor bear alone at home when they visited you for coffee.  Was he not invited?

What is his name?

LOL! Teddy was actually in their car in the driveway !

Don't think they've got as far as a name yet.....; )

They're just having what my Mum called 'a silly half hour' 😉

Probably decided to grow old disgracefully and are having a silly retirement.

You'll just have to grin and bear it

I actually think it's hilarious. My FIL was this high powered City executive for years, flying here there and everywhere first class, and he's here strapping a teddy bear into the car with its seatbelt lol!

I think it's quite charming, they have discovered not only teddy - but their inner child. :)

Start to worry when they take it to the kiddies playground and slide Teddy down the chute 🤣

I have a teddy called Archie. He lives in my bedroom but I don't take him out in the car.........yet.

That's all normal

When you need to be worried , is if they put headphones on it , with Teddy Pendergrass music playing

Lol, so I'll reassure MrSmow that they're still sane!
