Gyms in Edinburgh

hello! well, another year, another resolution. Does anyone know of any good gyms in Edinburgh which aren't too pricey to join (ie not more than roughly �30 per month)? I have found the Virgin Active one at Fountainpark, but the info on the website is minimal - no list of classes, no photos, and no price list!! I am hoping to move through to the 'Burgh in the summer, and would love to join a good, reasonably-priced gym with classes, machines and (if possible) a pool/sauna. Thanks!

Hi soozmac, my brother is a member of the David Lloyd Gym in Edinburgh and has been for several years....very well equipped with indoor / outdoor pool and several indoor tennis courts. Sorry I don't know the cost of a membership as he has a family membership which works out a little cheaper....sure you can find it on line...it's on Glasgow Road which is in the Corstorphine area of the city!

I use JJB Sports They have a big new Gym near me, (Anglesey) with a great swimming pool and steam room, with 2 large jaccusis.

The prices are from �20.00-�30.00 a month

um, where is Anglesey? Isn't it in Wales? (sorry, don't know my way around the Burgh too well yet....)
