Is he interested?

I saw an acquitance last week, who I haven't seen for about 6 months - the first thing he did was comment on was the fact my hair looked different, which took me a bit aback - not even my dad notices these things! Then he seemed to string the conversation out to what seemed unnaturally long, as if he didn't want me to go on my way. The situation was a bit difficult because he was work. Now with Valentine's approaching do I send a card, or was I reading too much into something that wasn't there?? I haven't dated for over 3 years since my marriage broke up, so how do I tell if he is interested in me?

From what you say it seems he was interested.
Can you just by accident see him again?
You could mention to him in passing that Valentines day is coming up and is he expecting any cards?
Does he know you have been single for three years?
You could say it has been so long since you had a card on valentines day
if you don't see him why not send him a light hearted card with your email address in say it was nice to see him and maybe it would be nice to go for a coffee to catch up ?

Just ask him out, if theirs something their it will be YES. On the other hand it might be NO.

Ps Don,t be offended tho if he's spoken for, look at it as 1, firstly a compliment 2, opening up the new you

After a little further investigation, he could well be spoken for - 2 cars parked outside the house etc.....(No I really am NOT stalking him!) I am, no way, brave enough to ask him out - after 3 years, talking to a man is a big enough step!!
