Is there a time when saying im in love with you is too early???

Ive liked this girl for about 2 yrs now and we have had some good times just being friends and i really like her. We're now goin out and its been about a month and i really feel like im fallin really really fast and im not sure if its too early to tell her now or wait for it. My question is, is it too early to tell her how i feel? or should i wait until its a little bit further on in the relationship and what happens if she doesnt feel the same way??

i agree i'd been with my boyf just 2 weeks before he told me he loved me i didnt think it was possible to love someone in a short space of time but it really is.

i accidentally told my boyfriend within a week of meeting him. It accidentally slipped out while a bit tipsy when i called him whilst i was out. It didn't seem to do much damage as we've been together 5 years and have just bought a house!

Sorry, will give a serious reply now. Valentines day is coming up- just in time! Send her a card and just write "I love you" in it. She will be overjoyed- what better way to say it for the first time? It will be captured in writing forever! Very romantic. Then you can tell her later that you love her, and she will know it wasn't just the card talking.

If she doesnt feel the same way, better to find out now than say it later on and be more hurt. I'm sure if she didnt like you she wouldnt be with you.

See, I disagree with everyone else. I think it's too early. I'm not advocating game playing, but I know I've been scared off by men who are just too keen. Honestly, I'd say 3 months is the watershed, I don't think you genuinely know till then.

Either way, she sounds like a lucky lady *sigh*

I agree with Englishbird, it's too soon yet. I too have been put off in the past by men that profess to love me within a couple of weeks. I would either think that they are saying it for the wrong reasons or were a bit unhinged to form such a deep emotional attachment to someone so quickly! I'm not doubting you do love her (as you've known her long enough) but it's a heady mix of emotions in the early stages of a relationship and you both need time to fathom out if you think this could be the real thing. I'd say leave it a couple more months before telling her. This will also give her time to sort out her feelings. Having said all that, I fell in love with my fiance very quickly (unlike me) and I was yearning for him to say it (I would never say it first) and he finally did after nearly three months! It was worth the wait!
