I am always so so tired. I am not a clubber that goes out everynight, so I really don't understand why. The only time I have felt so awake is when I had the flu and did not eat anything. Do you think it is a food allergy that is making me sluggish?

I suppose it could be possible.

Although you say you dont go out every night, do you actually have a full nights sleep?

"Tired all the Time" or TatT was often the acronym used by Doctors when testing for Anaemia, specifically Iron Deficiency Anaemia....

I think it would be worth your while visiting your GP.

This link is interesting. Apparently, this problem is becoming quite common.

That is an interesting link Drusilla :)

I think it could well be a food allergy. I have done a detox for 6 months and could not believe the physical change. Look at the Carol Vorderman detox book. You need to eliminate meat, wheat, dairy, sugar, added salt, processed foods, alcohol and caffeine for as long as you can. Then gradually re-introduce these food types one by one. This is an amazing article:

Take note of the physical symptoms you get. You will feel like crap for a few days so do it when you don't have to work. Then all the toxins will start to come out and your body will start to "rebuild" itself. Take a careful note of how you feel when you start to add wheat or dairy. These are the 2 that I avoid now, as dairy made me all bunged up and wheat made me bloated and listless.

Consider the possibility of having M.E. But I hope you haven't. Good luck.

One valid reason of feeling tired all the time is dehydration, make sure your getting 2L a day, your urine should be pale yellow and your body will get used to the water after a while or so, so the increased loo trips wont last too long.

It made a difference to me

Tiger104 is spot on - so many people are dehydrated these days and they dont even realise it. If you feel thirstly you have left it too late to drink. Some sugary or caffiene based drinks can even have the effect of dehydrating you further. Also consider iron supplements.

I sleep a MINIMUM of 8 hours per night (often 9 or 10) and still wake up really tired every day. Remember that in todays modern society the brain gets anhiallated with information every day and you will often feel very tired after excessive mental stimulation, not just physical.
