digital ulcers

would somebody please tell me what the first signs of digital ulcers are in Raynauds desease, I have this condition, and have a small, sore, not a hole, but its like a hole, but with a film of skin over it on my finger, and as far as I know, I have been very careful not to injure myself anywhere near my hands or arms, or my legs, as I have Raynauds in both of these,

I have mild Reynauds in my right hand and recently I have noticed these type of sores on my thumb & first finger too - kind of like a little bump under the surface, when I picked at it (it was really irritating) there was just some clear liquid inside which appeared to keep filling up again after every time I squeezed it (this sounds quite gross!) but dried out after a few days and healed up normally.

Sorry, this didn't really answer your question, but I'd like to know what they are too!!

sure, do you have the same problems as me, I have to go into shops and ask all year round, bit of a strange question, but have you got any gloves?
and teachers at school are awful, one teacher came up to me and embarassed me in front of his whole class, made me take them off, and my hands went blueish purple, and tingly, and it makes me really uncomfortable to write, so I just dont, so I got detention!
but yeah, sure, keep an eye out, we might both find some information, all I've found is pictures, no information

Definitely sounds like the same thing!

My hand doesn't really change colour that much just goes a bit pale, the worst bit for me is the horrible pins & needles/numbness in the end of my fingers. I can't really write for that long either......

When did yours start? I think I've had it since I was about 16/17, but its started getting worse over the last few years (I'm 29 now).

mine started around a year ago, I'm 15 now, I can remember what happened too!
I was just sat in the classroom, and it was coldish, but normal temp, and my hand just turned like this dead colour, and I got freaked out and ended up walking out of the classroom, because everyone was like 'whats up with your hand, ewwww, thats awful!'
I got to the sickroom, and they tried everything, but it just made it worse because they tried an ice pack, decided it wasnt working, then used a heat pack straight onto it, so I was running riot, they ended up calling my mum

Why don't you go,and have a good chat with your G.P.and ask for some more information about your condition,and ask for the best advice in dealing with it.

we tried, cant do much, basically all you can do is either have an operation(sympathectomy), take tablets, or just leave it and get necrosis, so, not much stuff I can do apart from taking tablets, we cant really see much point in me being sent home with yet more leaflets and boxes of nifed and codeine
