Sleeping
7 Answers
Is it normal, as an adult, not to sleep through the night? I will wake up at least once or twice. Not neccessarily for long periods of time and I'm not troubled in any way (not that I know of conciously at least!), but I'm sure I used to and don't any more. Has anyone else had this?

Whether or not we actually need as much sleep, I'm not sure (as I seem to need all I can get!) But I suspect our sleeping patterns depend on many things - stress, amount of exercise we have (or haven't) taken, too much alcohol, eating too late, a full bladder, external noise, etc. I can't remember the last time my head hit the pillow and I didn't wake up again until morning and I'm sure it's a fairly common state of affairs.
