OOWWWW!!!!!
For the last week, I've had the worst ever pain in the side of my face/jaw/neck/ear, I've tried every type of painkiller I can think of but they haven't really helped.....It is much worse at night when I lie down (3am painkillers don't help either!!). The only thing that seems to help is heat or a steaming with a bowl of hot water, but it comes back as soon as I take the heat away!!
I haven't been able to get a doctors appt, but I'll try again on Monday, in the meantime, What can I do? - it's completely excruciating, I feel like crying & want to chop my ear off!!!
Do you think it could be a ear infection, dental abcess or sinus problem - should I go for appt with GP or Dentist first?

Earache usually-but not always manifests itself in discomfort in swallowing as the mastochian tubes are all interlinked.
Either way you do need an anti I suspect - watch for the Doxycyclin (a green one) for sinusitis - take it but if you get a reaction of any kind stop and either see your Pharmicist or GP.I am not scaremogering but it is powerful and I know of a lot of people who have had adverse reactions.
What a concise answer - I dont half rattle on:)
You will be better soon-promise.Just feel sorry for yourself in the meantime - it works for me!!
