I've been feeling absolutely shattered for the last week. Is it just down to the colder weather, or could it be something else?

Could be to do with the clock change a couple of weeks ago - don't know why but this seems to make me feel fatigued for a couple of weeks (strangely enough I can recover from jet lag quite easily).
fatigue is a much more commom ailment than you might think. It's often to do with blood sugars and the remedies are fairly simple; Eat adequate calories and protein; address poor quality diet; Drink More Water (very important) and less of coffee. Exercise aerobically like bike rides etc. but this only an amateur response. Search under 'fatigue -chronic' that's minus chronic or see your doctor
Could be acute toxoplasmosis.....
Anaemia? Thyroid porblems? SAD disorder? Depression? Stress? I went to the doctor and a nutritionist as I was falling asleep at about 8 every night and it was impacting heavily on my social life, relationship and general happiness.I started taking a multi-vitamin, extra iron and vitamin C, kelp and sea greens to boost my metabolism and milk thistle to cleanse my liver (i am on medication that tends to make you tired). I've also cut down on fats in my diet, especially dairy, caffeine and alcohol and i am exercising for 15mins everyday, either swimming or jogging, and drinking a litre of water a day. The difference is immense in just under two weeks! Now I am up until midnight with bags of energy despite the fact i am a full-time working mum with a two year old!! Not sure exactly what is boosting me up but something is! However, it is important to get yourself checked out. But basically, the old mantra of regular exercise, a balanced diet with supplements, quality sleep and looking after yourself will help - along with five weeks on a beach in the Maldives no doubt!! : )
I have been feeling exactly the same only for about 3 weeks and I don't know what's wrong. I took Nykkieberry's advise and bought some multi vitamins with Iron and have started drinking water. I think regular exersize would probably help as I don't do any but to be honest at this time of year who can be bothered? All I want to do when I get home from work is get out of my work's clothes and chill, not work up a sweat and exersize. Let me know if you discover something that works.

Thanks Nykkieberry. I tend to drink quite a bit of water while I'm at work, as I don't like tea or coffee, but I've bought myself some vitamins with iron. I've got an inkling as to what's going on now, but I'm going to the doctors soon, so I'll let you know how I get on.
