I know similar questions have been asked already but, having decided my huge flabby belly makes me look pregnant and not being able to afford gym prices, I have decided to invest in a celeb fitness dvd. I don't want anything to extreme or too hard to follow as a) I'm very unfit and b) I severly lack motivation!
I've had a look at some on Amazon and can't decide between either of the Angela Griffin ones or the Charlie Brooks one or even the Colleen one! I have a couple of yoga dvds which I love but I think I need something that's going to make me sweat if I want to lose the flab!!
Any advice chums?

I don't believe in the fitness DVD's either however, Mrs Philtaz has been doing the Charlie Brooks DVD for 3 weeks and as someone who has never been fitness/sport orientated in any manner(her words, not mine!) I have to say the results for her have been more than favourable.
One girl in work did the Davina one and walked like Douglas Baader for a few days, another had to spend a week walking down stairs backwards!
I have used work out dvds for years. Not continually! But I dont see anything wrong with them.. They motiviate you to get in a routine. I have the first Davina workout, which is really good. Makes you walk like a crab in handcuffs for the first few days after using it, but once you get past that, you will be fine.
Watched the Gaby logan workout, but she is far too patronising, and the new Davina workout which I also looked at is very good, as its in parts. So maybe a better option for you.
Do what I did, (tightwad) join a free trial with the dvd rentals you can do online, try the dvd, and if you dont like it. Dont buy it!
Good luck!
If you lack motivation don't bUy a DVD or home gym because you will not get the encouragemt from them that you need. And I totally agree with the earlier comment that those who aren't used to exercising go hell-for-leather when they first try and end up with long term problems which then become an even bigger demotivator.
YOU will have to find an acceptable practical reason that will make you WANT TO CHANGE YOUR LIFESTYLE.
You may laugh but something like Tai Chi(the gentle art) is a good start. It helps balance and is also a social thing and I think that getting together with others of similar ilk can be a motivator in itself .
Set small goals of weight loss and exercise and be patient. Walk DON'T RIDE - there must be something that will make the effort seem worthwile. A LONGER BETTER LIFE might be worth considering.
