Why do I get aching legs in the morning after I have had a few alcoholic drinks the night before. Also if I have the odd one or two in the evening, I have a restless night, because my legs have a dull ache, so therefore cannot get comfortable

Wow, I used to suffer the exact same aches....I never found out why but remember them. They just seem to get less and less as the years went by. I was in my 20s when I suffered from them. Are you of a similar age?
My guess would be that it's due to dehydration. Alcohol is a diuretic (but probably not spelt like that!) which means it makes you pass water more frequently, making you dehydrated. Large amounts of tea and coffee will have the same effect. Try drinking at least a pint of water before you go to bed, and see if you still ache. If that doesn't ease it, then i'm afraid i don't know what it is!
I'd hazard a guess that you sit during the day and when you go for a drink you stand at the bar. Find a table, sit down and relax
