changing address - change GP ??

In this day and age when GPs do not do house calls anymore, is it still necessary to change GPs if you only move a matter of miles away, but under a different council ?

You can call NHS direct to find GP surgeries near you.
You should, in any case, advise the local FPC of your move. If you don't tell them then your prescriptions will have the wrong address on them and it may affect you if you need a hospital appointment as they require evidence of identity and UK residency before giving outpatient treatment these days.
