Which part have you moved to? I'm living near Oadby. I joined one of the local tennis clubs after I graduated, and the people are a great bunch. Maybe you could join a sports club, if you're into sports.

i live north of leicester near ragdale hall, not sure where that is in relation to anything really, i do like football but only problem is i suck so bad it would have to be a muck about team that i joined!
For a late drink at the weekend G-Spot is good it's a swingers club, anybody can go and if you don't want to join in you can just watch.
Question Author
really not sure if im meant to take that last answer seriously or not.......
Well Jimboy2, Im not sure if Batty Boy is being serious, but I do know that the club exists, its on Rutland Street near the old cinema. From what I hear, its quite a popular place on a Saturday night. If swinging isnt your scene, you could try the Dover Castle on Dover Street. I know its a good place to meet new people, especially if youre hung like a donkey. A lad I work with says that you cant fail to pull in there!
Question Author
right i better set this straight unfortunatley i am not hung like a donkey was said in jest and nearly started a riot ona nother post, but thanks i will check that place out at some point any other suggestions-more for during the week sort of after work around 6ish????
Well you cud go to the zoo to see the Tigers
Question Author
theres a zoo in leicester????
Its on Aylestone Road
He's referring to the rugby ground where the Leiceter Tigers play. The Welford Road ground. Plenty of sports going on in Leicester. Also have the football team and Leicestershire's home games are also played in Leicster too.

CT you are a spoil-sport for giving it away!

Question Author
tigers-zoo genius. no i need something a bit different to do after work.... anything actually
hi jimboy2, as far as i know the Dover Castle is a gay pub! don't let them wind you up! and yes there is a very famous zoo in leicester, twycross, worth a visit sometime. As far as meeting new people, that just depends what you're into. Have a look on the net. there must be loads really but i'm not into social groups so i wouldn't really know what to suggest.let me know how you get on and if you find anything interesting to do. Hope you like our town!
Question Author

the towns ok not too impressed with the people so far!

they are trying to pervert my innocence!

i wanted a nive social activity like, a running club or something like that and i get told a swingers and a gay club to go to! whats wrong with leicesterites???

Not me Jimboy2, i'm sorry you now have a poor view of Leicester people!!! i can assure you that you have just encountered a few reprebates ;-) You keep your innocence intact and avoid these dens of iniquity!!!! You are living the opposite end of Leicester to me so i'm not sure what is out that way. i live fairly near the town centre. Glad you'e finding Leicester ok, i think its a bit crap really! Good luck on meeting some nice Leicesterites, there are plenty of us around!!!!
Question Author
well you have restored my faith, apart from telling me its crap!!! anyways am going to move to city cntre soon so i hopefully will have more options available then!
loads more! Its a bit remote out your way. there are some great leisure centres where you would meet new people. where are you originally from? i'm just being nosey!!!! ;-) ignore my quip about leicester being crap, i guess i'm a bit disillusioned! There are plenty of good things about our fine city if you look! good luck in your quest!
Question Author
im from scotland i moved here to work at norwich union and will move into city asap but for now just looking for anything really at night to save me from countryside boredom!
i love the countryside, but don't think i could cope with living in it! I have only been to Scotland twice, once very recently to Glasgow, which i thought was great, although only spent one night there, the other time was to get married, take a guess???? I want to spend loads more time there in the future! sorry to waffle, going off your original question.
Question Author
no its not a problem i just hoped to meet some diverse people in Leicester in stead of some sex obseesed yokels! but anyways once im in city i will have to see for myself what it has to offer
