morrisons is the cheapest p[lace for a six pack...

lol

yeah sit ups will help or join a gym..

hope it helps

You've already got a six pack, just remove the fat and hey presto. I'm afraid a six pack is 10% exercise and 90% fat loss. No amount of sit ups will remove fat from where you want it only a calorie deficit will do that. So do your abdo exercises in preparation for when you've lost the fat and the 6 pack will shine through!

good luck on this one.. help me out.. how can i put on weight as i have a hig metabolism rate...

ty..

Honestly you have to do about 500 crunches a night. I swear its not that hard. Do them in sets of 20 with a 10 second pause (make sure you breath). If you're already thin you'll see results by the end of the 2nd week. It worked for me!

thanx for ur ansawer i am only 7 stone i am 15 what number of seat ups should i do a day/night

There are loads of weight gain supplements out there dazza1

Loosehead you talk pure BS my friend, I work out regular and I can assure you I see plenty of 'slim' folk with no six pack. The thought that all over weight people have an athletic, muscle bound body hidden under layers of fat has given me the best smile all day ...... cheers for that mate :-)

PhilBy, Loosehead is totally correct, if you dont believe that then go to the library and get a copy of Greys anatomy and have a look. All the muscles that form the fabled 'six-pack' are present in everyone. You are correct in that they do need to be developed to make them more visible, but he is also right that in many people they are hidden under a layer of fat, that no amount of abs exersicing will shift, (I recently read that an American university professor had worked out that you would need to do 25000 sit ups to work off one pound of fat!, plus of course that reduction would not be targeted only on your belly, but over the whole body generally.)

So Philby, you work out but you are probably not getting any results, I bet you're one of those plonkers who spend your workout poncing about in front of the mirror. You clearly do not have the remotest Idea about what you are doing. I see idiots like you in the Gym every day doing all the exercises wrong and then moaning that nothing works.

Oh and Philby You may be able to tell from my name what sport I do and in what position and even a dummy like you should be able to deduce from that, that I know about working out. Being underweight doesn't mean you are not over fat, a lot of thin people carry too much fat, that's why the BMI system has been discredited.

Thanks impret for the back up much appreciated.

Rossbray take no notice of philby, he knows nothing!

Dancealot 500 crunches a night! Get out of here, I do 3 sets of 20 different ab execises at intensity and 20 side bends each side with a weight. As I said above, moderate exercise and fat loss will do it.

All: you cannot "spot reduce" full stop.

That is the trouble with you book reading numbties ........ yes! everyone has stomach muscle but I think everyone would be in agreement that what is commonly refered to as six pack is well (very) devolped abdominal muscles.

BTW. There was no mention in the question of anyone being overweight and now we know rossbray is a 7 stone 15yr old with NO SIX PACK!

So loosehead replies with childish insults... nuff said!
Loosehead - You're a tad rude. When I was training in NYC, I did 500 crunches a night, sets of 20 with 10 second rests. I am 5' 4 and weigh 120 pounds, with a perfect 6-pack for a women, so don't tell me I don't know what to do to get into shape. cheers
Sorry, but I think women with six packs are disturbing.
You tell him Dancelot !!
Spacechimp, when you're old enough to drink you will start appreciating a woman with a sixpack, especially when they are handing you them when you are watching the telly
Thanks Se7en, you're a doll!
Dancealot, Im a bloke actually so I would appreciate it if you would use more manly terms of affection when speaking of me ... like honeybunny or snugggerly pants !
Well I will blowed Se7en I thought you were a lady also..... or have I got you mixed up with someone else who likes to sit on washing machines!? sorry for the mix up mate lol
Those referring to the anatomical textbook are of course correct - we all have a 6 pack. This will become apparent at a certain level of body fat. The level of body fat to reveal the abdominal muscles might depend on the muscularity of the person involved, but it is there. The best way to develop a 6 pack is not to do endless situps - this would imply that the best way to get big legs is to run marathons. Progressive resistance is the most efficient way to gain muscle - this applies to the abs as well, although if I recall correctly as slow twitch fibres there is a school of though which says they require a higher level of reps (12-16) but this must be done as always with progressive resistance.

Cutting is 90% in the diet though.

Se7en- I prefer snuggerly pants! lol ;)

Philby, I was furnishing you with the knowledge Id overheard birds at work talking about washing machines. i can just about turn one on never mind get turned on by one !!
