What is the best bit of Advice another Ab has given you.

I've tried to store up all the advice given by Andy Hughes and noxlumos on child rearing and being a good parent. I think they're inspirational dads and I hope I can be as good a mum. It's the best job I've ever had, but it's also a very hard job, with long hours, and I think it's sometimes easy to lose sight of what you're trying to achieve. Too easy to get bogged down in details, and miss the bigger picture. Andy and Noxlumos remind me to look for the bigger picture, at what values I want my son to grow up with, at what kind of family environment he needs to thrive, at what kind of adult I can help him to be. I'm not even sure I've ever asked a direct parenting question of them, but I heed their advice every day if I can, and am always grateful to them for taking time out of their days to share their wisdom and experience. I've bigged them up (as it were) before on AB, but I don't think they know just how much I appreciate them.

Sorry if I've embarrassed you guys, but you know where to come if you ever need a reference!!

Hi kick, Not sure if i,ve had to much advice on hear as i'm relatively new, I was put right however on a damaged Radiator on the Home & Garden section.

As you know as well, some Ab's believe that they have put me right in the past on the sports section, i call it tho ''Agree to Disagree''.

Anyway i do enjoy the responses to my post and even tho its not all advice, it is very much appreciated, so can i say a BIG Thankyou everyone.

I wouldn't call it advice but I was given the identity of a record I'd been looking for for over 20 years, which not a soul elsewhere had heard of, and was called Torpedoes by Havana let's go from 1980, and was eventually banned by the government as it coincided with the Falklands war. What are the chances of that happening?

brachiopod - on understanding how to calculate my flipping gas bill! brilliant answer & advice from him/her.

jan1956 - advice on sites to help with crossword/puzzles etc, plus loads of help with answers needed!

and loads of help from melbur, smudge, adrianjb, shaneystar2, quizmonkey- to name a few, everyone on this site has given me help & advice, cheered me up when i've been down, and i've learnt many a thing by reading other people's posts, hope AB & all my newfound friends stay here for a long long time.

good question, I like to get involved in debates rather than straight forward questions, WaldoMcFroog always has really good and informative input. But I also enjoy all the imput I get down on News and here in B&S.
