Has anyone had the experience where you have to go somewhere that you've never been before yet without looking at a map or asking directions you know exactly how to get there? What's that all about?
Not had that exactly, but have driven past places and knew that I'd been there before, in a dream. It happened last month when driving down a road I know I've never driven down before (this was in a part of Yorkshire I'd never been to before) when we passed a pub and I knew that I'd dreamt about it about a month before.
Scientists reckon this has no relation to reality, but is simply the electrical impulses in the brain "tripping up" (jumping the synapse) and landing a bit further along the route than they should. This gives the feeling of experiencing something before, which of course, has not happened in reality.
Just yeterday I was walking down the hallway of our house and something made me stop and look at the phone. About 5 seconds later while I was still looking at it, it rang.
There's some things you can explain with science or common sense, but there'll always be things going on we cant.
Hi chimney, I have often thought of someone only to go out and bump into him/her. Likewise the phone. I like visiting stately homes (Have seen many) but one of them was so familiar to me. I just seemed to know where everything was. Animals have a 6th sense so why should'nt humans?:--))
