Its even happening with tops now, my tops range from a size 12 up to a size 16. I am fed up with sizes, i just get what fits and looks good on me and if i dont like the size it says on the label i just cut it out:)
It's ludicrous. Some shops are particularly bad (H&M is consistently about an entire size or two too small, Topshop varies wildly, Zara is just crazy, GAP is usually a size or two too big...) Warehouse and Oasis are usually spot-on, but I still need to try everything on.
I'm normally a size 12, by the way, and own clothes two label sizes either side of that. It's getting to the stage where I don't even look at the label and just pick out the size that I think looks right!

Hahahahaha! I laughed out loud when I read this question! I, too, have an inflatable butt. My most recent purchase was at the weekend when I bought a size 34C bra (me usual size), went home and tried it on only to find it was too small in cup AND rib size. I had to go back and buy a 36D!!!
I tend to find that the cheaper the shop, the more likely the sizes will differ. But to be perfectly honest, one size 12 woman can be completely different to another size 12 woman. Have you ever tried on, say, 3 size 12 shirts of the same design just to find the one that is the best fit? I know I have!

Ooooh as one who hates trying things on in shops this drives me mad - I'm anything from an 8 to a 12.
Champagne's post reminded me that the same goes for shoes.... I was trying on some shoes that I really liked but didn't fit in my size or the size above & below. Luckily the assistant was a lovely helpful one & she brought out all the pairs in my usual size & hey presto one of them fit perfectly.
