How many times does someone have to let you down before you stop trusting them! Do you tend to let people make a fool of you more than once or do you think once is enough, no more chances?

Someone once told me 'always give a second chance but never ever a third'

Trust is so important and once it has gone it's really difficult to get back but in time I think it will come slowly on its own :-)

Hey Boo, I'm just dandy. I am just pondering a few things, you know me ;o)

Rubyrose, One strike and your ''Out'' thats me, Thats assuming we are talking cheating/faithful?

Laurence - I am talking in relationships.. but not just partnerships. Friendships too. Any kind of personal relationship really. Just wondering peoples views :o)
Depends what they`ve done

Ruby, I'm old school with old fashion values, something i believe is missing in a few relationships this day and age.

The word ''Trust'' in todays society is to easily banded about, its the ''Rock'' word in relationships and friendships, and when it goes so do they?

Question Author
I think ultimately if they do something, even if you can forgive, can you ever forget? The doubt still hangs. The relationship is taited, shaken and disturbed.
AHhh, Rubyslippers my bloke has been a total arse this week and i wish i could shake hom off but he is like the posse in butch cassidy
once is enough for me. i always try to do the right thing and i am always helping someone. because of my generousity, i have met many dishonest people, now i don't trust anyone. no one has a second chance with me.

Ruby, absolutely.

Once the seed of doubt has been sown its ''Game over'', No doubt people will question why you should give a 2nd chance, But where does it end, 3rd, 4th, 5th chance etc, what ''IS'' the cut-off point?

Was that the one with the Hole in the Wall Gang Dotty? ;o)
lol, spot on slippers

How are the rest of the outlaws Dotty? Aint seen em in a while :o)
well we ain't seen you since you defected to CS and left here so suddenly, i thought you were beddin in nicely over there, what's brought you back here all of a sudden. all the gang have stayed around.
Question Author

I was nice and settled in CS Dot, still am. I am loving the people and the PM system but do miss these orange walls :o)

Ab moves quicker and thats what I miss too. Plus there are a few ****'s on CS who seem to think they own it! :o)

well i didn't get on too well there as the language was foul half the time and there were so many posts about george Bush and the US senate and iraq! Here if u want serious stuff you can opt for it but there it was in your face. saying that i did like the actual style of the site and the options you had for one to one chat and leaving messages, it was like AB and MSN all rolled intoone, and the idea of having your own little defining pic is cool, on here it would be fantastic!
Question Author

Its really calmed down in there now Dot and I get on better with the regular CSers than some of the CBers! They are so friendly and we have to remember we invaded their space. We used to be just as rude to the greenies.

If AB gave us all a profile like in CS and we could view who was online and PM then I would never leave :o)

i always said if they cheat on me once i'm gone, well i have had 3 long term relationships and each one has cheated on me.(numerous times i have to say!!)...i have now been single for nearly a year now because i am too scared to trust anyone, i feel like a freak!! i dont know what i keep doing wrong.

I think I'd be inclined to give the benefit of the doubt after one broken issue of trust, depending on severity or otherwise of the individual circumstances.

After that it would be "curtains" and I wouldn't allow there to be a second occasion.
