new shoes blisters

ow ow ow!! my shoes have torn my feet to shreds and are very sore, they seem to split each time i take a step! is it best to put cream on them to soften them or leave them to they harden up? only of they go soft they will hurt no matter what shoes i wear!!

if you are wearing shoes without tights or socks, depending on the style, you may well find the synthetic lining is what is damaging your feet, as leather lined shoes would give quicker and not cause the problem.

prevention is better than cure...


i tend to stuff new shoes with wet news paper. leave it in there over night and wear them the following day...


not the best way to break shoes i know, but it puts moisture into the leather and allows the shoe to stretch to my foot. ( i only wear leather footwear )


far better than a week or two of agony...

I think you should always keep the skin on your feet soft. I have very soft feet and I have never had blisters, callouses or the like. I use a shoe angels for heels too.
I know this will make me very unpopular, but ...

... dump the shoes and get yourself some that properly.
Sorry ... typo ... should be 'get some that FIT properly'.
I can't remember what it was exactly, but I used one of those Scholl products what you see in the chemist. It was a very soft type of padding which gently cushioned the blister so you hardly knew you had it.
