Accident with the (contraceptive) pill
Hello,
I had a bit of a stupid accident with the pill - i accidentally took 2 in one day (it was a hectic week, i wasn't concentrating). It was a few days from the end of a packet. Should i have run two packs together (this is what i did)? I couldn't find anything on the leaflet about this particular situation - i guess they assume that, if you can read the days of the week on the pack, it's unlikely happen! - so i'm wondering if i did the right thing.
Am i right in thinking this is more-or-less equivalent to taking the morning after pill? It made me feel bloomin awful, really PMT-ish, and i've had a very light but very long period for over a week now, which is really quite annoying.
I will be more careful in future...
Cheers for any views you might have.

If you are not having sex tomorrow or the day after then skip tomorrow since you already took the pill and start fresh the following day to get back on track.
No problem girl ;)

And I agree with bellasasha. You definetly shouldn't be having side-effects like what you were describing because it is not equivelant to the morning after pill.
Make sure you take the pill at the same time everyday. When I was on the pill if I took it just a few hours later then normal,..I would have side effects like spotting or menstrual cramps.
Cheers gals. I do seem to get the side-effects quite easily - maybe it's psychosomatic cos i don't really like the whole idea of the pill. Though it's better than any of the alternatives.
I think the bleedyness is more cos i ran two packets together than because of the two-in-a-day thing. I asked the nurse about it before and she just said some people need to bleed every month regardless of pills.
ta!
