Has anyone tried this?

My friend wants to do it and wants me to sign up with her but I'm not sure.

Is it really any more desperate than going to pub to 'pull'?

I have a friend who went out with someone she met from the internet. They went out for a while, but had a turbulent relationship. He turned out to be a complete psychopath, who had some serious issues going on. From her experience i would strongly advise against it.

You should not specify going out to a pub to 'pull'. Go out to enjoy yourself with your friends. i'm sure you always make an effort when you are out to look nice and enjoy yourself, therefore you and your friend will meet suitable partners soon enough. You meet people in the most random of places. I was asked out once on my train journey home! x

1 word: DONT
My friend is married to someone she met on a 'Date" site, they only lived a few miles apart - but would never have met without the web. However you must proceed with caution and follow common sense meeting up rules!
i have done it and its great!! match.com is what i used....you just need to be careful. it would be wrong to generalise and say that they will all be psychopaths....there a plenty of psychopaths who go to their local pub for a drink!!!
The percentage of creeps on the sites is no higher than anywhere else, like the pub, and you can at least get rid of them quicker if you've had enough of a particular conversation. The main advice would be to take it slowly and get to know someone before meeting and take sensible precautions when you do.

i am now a happliy married man, when i was single i was a serial dater, i loved women so much!!

but, there is no way i would of met anyone of a dating agency!!

if you want a life partner or a quick sh*g,get yourself down the local boozer!!!

When I was single, I used an Internet dating site. I thought it was a good way to meet women (even if I didn't meet my life partner) and certainly worth a go. Bellasasha's right, there's no reason why the site would be full of psychos - you'd probably find more down the pub.
