Ghosts + the afterlife?

Does anyone believe in ghosts and the afterlife? I'm sort of half and half on the ghosts thing, but i think that there is something more after we die. I'm not one of these really spiritual or religious people (i actually don't have a religion), i just think that there could be something more.

i think there is something............... but it's unproven, which in this day and age is bad news for those who believe??

My brother reckons hes seen stuff...hes into spiritualism with his Mrs and they both claim to have seen stuff like little monsters running accross the room

We lived in an old cottage for 24 years and we had a ghost,it wasn't nasty or aggressive though, but My sister lived in a very old house in Jersey that was awfull they had to leave the house,they called in a priest to bless the house but it didn't help,they then called in a medium,and believe it or not she found a secret room (under the floor) that had been used for witchcraft,when the lady said they should dig the floor up in the hall they found remains of two children,my sister never went back in that house,when I tell people they say I am making it up but i'm not honest.

that is an awful story, not saying your wrong ray, its just a horrible thing to think of isnt it??

We live with a ghost! Now and again he has a little play with us or our visitors, but we have never found it uncomfortable, been here 10 years, and would probably miss him if we moved!

ive never seen a ghost myself - if they exist. i don't know what i'd do if i did. Probably run lol

joking apart, when i was young, much younger than today, i was sat upright in bed talking to a little boy at the end of the bed!!

i dont remember this at all,but it sends shivers down my sister when she tells the story??

My God Ray, how spooky and terribly sad for those poor children. I don't blame your sister, I wouldn't have stepped back inside either!.

I always find this subject interesting and get scared stiff with the best of them, to the point my poor hubby has to get up with me so I can go to the loo in the night after a scary film or bad dream! But I'm not sure what I believe really. With my dad being dearly departed I'd like to think there is life after death and that he is watching over us :o)

i dont know,but the house we grew up in was an old farm house from the end of the 1800's so anything could of happened thier???

I must just say my sister never believed in ghosts or spirits,it started with what my sister thoughy was an imaginary friend her daughter had,she was about 4, but then she kept asking my sister why the little boy had funny clothes on,it was after that the house started to as she said feel cold in certain places,it was in one of these places where they dug,apparantly Jersey over 200 years ago was rife with satanism.

Before my great aunt died she said she would come back if she could ..when she died she left her house to my mother.. I moved in then we noticed the single bedroom door would not stay closed .. told mum she said aunty always slept with the door ajar ..we changed the handle etc. still happened.. 5 years later spoke to the new owner she had the same problem.. spooky or what?
