Hiya, Went out a couple of weeks ago, met a guy who gave me his phone number.... he texted me a couple of times and then sent me a text giving me a different number with the messaging saying "hya, please use this number from now on, as I have a new job and had to give my phone back yesterday". So, I put the new number in my phone. Anyway, he text me again (on his new number), so I called him....but realised that I'd rang the 'old phone'..... just as I went to cancel the call, he answered! Now, this was the phone he was supposed to have given back????.... I was in shock, so I cut the call. Since then he's text me (on his new number)...I've not replied as I'm not sure what to think... But, I got my mate to call his 'old number' (you know, the phone he gave back!!!!) and sure enough it was him.....what do you think about the situation and what I should do? Many thanks..Josie x

They're could be a very simple explanation for all of this and his casual responses show an air of innocence about it all. Personally I'd make him arrange a date (dinner, not drinks), make him pay for the entire evening and ask him over dinner what the deal is. If I left feeling that he was still lying then at least I'd have got a nice evening out of it.
And who knows, you may well end up pleasantly suprised. Assuming of course you don't find some other conspiracy during the course of the night...
